Basics for Creating a Learning Path

Whether you are creating a Course or Learning Path, the process is very similar. In this article, we will discuss the differences only for a Learning Path from a Course. To see how to create a Course read this article.

Creating notifications, adding participants, and results are the same between Courses and Learning Paths. The two main differences between Courses and Learning Paths are general details and courses.

General

A Course is a compilation of modules. A Learning Path is a compilation of Courses. In the general tab the difference is the completion order. The completion order for a Learning Path here is for Courses and not Modules.

Courses

To add a Course to the Learning Path click on the Add Course blue button and the add Course modal will pop. Choose the course(s) that you want to add and move them over to the courses to add column.

Once a Course is added it will show up in the Course tab. Just like modules you can move the Course up and down by dragging and dropping the courses in the list. Remember this is important if you are using the sequential completion order mentioned above.

To remove a Course from the Learning Path click on the Remove drop down in the action items. A modal will pop confirming your decision to remove the Course.

Note:

Removing a course from a learning path does not delete the course from your account. It also does not delete user completion history or results for the Course. It only remove the course from the learning path.
